Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin has signed into law a measure reestablishing tax credits for engineers going to work for Oklahoma companies as well as the companies that hire them. The bill restores a tax incentive that was put on moratorium last year by the Oklahoma state legislature.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Governor Mary Fallin today issued the following statement addressing American’s announcement regarding future business and restructuring plans:
“American’s announcement today represents a commitment to continuing a large presence in Oklahoma and, specifically, Tulsa. Their communications with employees and with my office indicate they are working to preserve as many jobs as possible, and that Tulsa will not be left out of American’s restructuring plans. All of this is good news.
OKLAHOMA CITY — Since its inception in 1993, the Quality Jobs Program has issued more than 612 contracts to locating, expanding and start-up businesses and brought thousands of jobs to Oklahoma. This last December saw more Quality Jobs participants than any single month in the programs 19-year history and fiscal year 2012 is set to meet or beat the previous year’s numbers. With the current fiscal year at the half-way point, the Quality Jobs Program is set to meet or exceed fiscal year 2011’s benchmarks.

OKLAHOMA CITY — Fortune Magazine recently released their annual list of 100 Best Companies To Work For and four Oklahoma companies are ranked as the nation’s best.
Chesapeake Energy, ranked 18th, Devon Energy, ranked 28th, American Fidelity Assurance, ranked 47th and QuikTrip, ranked 66th all made this prestigious annual list.

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Department of Commerce announced today that 965 new jobs will be created by nine companies recently accepted into the Oklahoma Quality Jobs Program (QJP) in December.
Through its statewide network of manufacturing extension agents (MEAs) and applications engineers, the Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance connects small- and medium-sized manufacturing businesses with the information and resources they need to expand and succeed.
