Paycom Breaks Ground On New HQ; Plans 400 New Jobs

June 24, 2010 – The Journal Record reports Oklahoma City-based human resources company Paycom broke ground this week on a new 90,000-square-foot headquarters that will create about 400 new jobs over the next three years. Paycom is expanding with the help of state and local economic incentives.

"It’s exciting to see local companies who have roots in this state and city really prosper and grow additional jobs," Roy Williams, President and Chief Executive of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, tells the Journal Record. "Paycom is the perfect model of the kinds of economic development you want to see happening."

The new campus is set on 14 acres Paycom owns in Oklahoma City and is big enough to house 450 employees.

The company is getting $4.5 million in job creation incentives through the state’s Quality Jobs program, which gives employers cash-back rebates on a percentage of taxable wages. The Oklahoma City Council in March also approved $2 million in municipal economic incentives for the company.

The Journal Record reports Paycom has been hiring 10-15 new employees each month for the past several months. The company provides Internet-based payroll services for more than 8,000 companies nationwide. The new jobs Paycom will generate will pay anywhere from $30,000 to $100,000 annually, ranging from sales to administrative positions.
