Sep 8, 2005 -- The BioLife Science Symposium will promote the achievements of Oklahoma researchers and emerging life science companies as well as industry trends, financing and management issues. The one-day conference will be held September 13 at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City.
At the symposium Roy Williams, president and CEO of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, will report on the study conducted by the Battelle Technology Partnership Practice that was commissioned to evaluate the potential that exists in Oklahoma’s bioscience cluster. Mr. Williams will discuss the investments and recommendations that are needed to expand the talent pool and keep the innovation and commercialization pipeline flowing.
The BioLife Science Symposium is being produced by i2E, Inc. “We are excited to shine the spotlight on Oklahoma’s emerging bio industry,” said Tom Walker, executive vice president and COO of i2E. “The symposium will feature some of Oklahoma’s top emerging life science entrepreneurs, researchers and scientists. Their presentations will focus on recent research, technology transfer, alternative funding and commercialization to name a few topics.”
The day is designed to provide an educational and networking forum at which scientists, entrepreneurs, academia, technology transfer professionals, business leaders, investors and economic developers can meet the challenge of finding money and management to build life science companies capable of competing in national and international marketplaces.
Tickets are $75 per person and discounts are available for university staff and students.
