CORE-Export Readiness

Before you can successfully export, you need answers to the following questions:

  • Is my company ready for international trade?
  • Will my products meet the demands and requirements of the global market?
  • Do my products meet the needs of foreign consumers?
  • Can I navigate the red tape of the export-import world on my own or will I need a third-party's help?
  • Where will I find suppliers and partners?

To help companies answer these questions and determine their export capacity and readiness, the Oklahoma Department of Commerce offers a free software tool known as CORE-Company Readiness to Export.

A self-assessment application, CORE gives you the tools needed for an export strategy. Developed by the Center for International Business Education Research (CIBER) at Michigan State University, the acclaimed tool helps Oklahoma businesses identify exporting strengths and weaknesses and outline a plan of action.

The Oklahoma Department of Commerce charges nothing for you to subscribe to this export readiness tool.

How to Subscribe to CORE

To use CORE, companies must first attend a consultation with Commerce staff. After a brief tutorial, businesses are given access to the CORE program for a brief time period.  If needed, we will renew for an extended time period free of charge. This allows companies to use it as a reference tool and continually evaluate progress.
