ATTENTION: The NSP1 program is closed to new applicants. The information contained on this webpage is for current grantees and maintained in order to meet federal program transparency requirements. NSP1 is a one-time funding opportunity provided by the US Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) and is NOT a continuing annually funded program.

The Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP), authorized under Title III of the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, provides for a nationwide total of $3.92 billion in allocated emergency assistance to state and local governments to acquire and redevelop foreclosed properties that might otherwise become sources of abandonment and blight within their communities.

Neighborhood Stabilzation Program 3 (NSP3) NEW!

The Neighborhood Stabilization Program provides grants to every state and certain local communities to purchase foreclosed or abandoned homes and to rehabilitate, resell, or redevelop these homes in order to stabilize neighborhoods and stem the decline of house values of neighboring homes.
