1Dorada Foods Announces Plans to Open in Ponca City

August 31, 2010 — Dorada Foods, Inc. of Oklahoma City will occupy the former 180,000 square foot Tyson Foods facility in Ponca City. The plant, which is scheduled to become operational in mid-2011, will provide chicken products to McDonald’s restaurants and is expected to employ approximately 350 employees, five days per week, 24 hours a day.

August 3, 2010 – The Boeing Company has announced it is relocating its C-130 Avionics Modernization Program (AMP) and B-1 Program from Long Beach, CA, to Oklahoma City. The company says about 550 positions will come to Oklahoma City as part of the relocation.

July 20, 2010 -- Octavian Security USA, an arm of United Kingdom-based firm Octavian Security, announced its selection to establish a USA headquarters in Tulsa and will hire 21 security officers to start work August 1.
