To help grow Oklahoma's wind-component manufacturing sector, the Oklahoma Department of Commerce wants to hear from existing businesses that currently provide products and services to the wind industry or want to do so.
Many of the national and international wind-turbine or component manufacturers considering Oklahoma for their next base of operations want to know about our existing supply chain and the capabilities of Oklahoma companies. Buying components, parts, supplies and services near their operations can lower overall operating costs and improve quality.
While there are never any guarantees, the ability to tell these companies that Oklahoma has existing businesses ready to provide everything from towers, castings, gearboxes, bearings, and gears to machine work and metal fabrication can ultimately help bring wind energy companies to the state, create jobs, and help our existing businesses expand.
Commerce is compiling this database not only for internal purposes, but also for promotion and development of the wind energy sector in Oklahoma. The agency will share aggregate information and specific company information with prospects and use it for marketing materials as well as on the agency's website, www.OKcommerce.gov.
Note: Participation in this survey does not guarantee future business for your company.
