Hitachi Expanding Distribution Center & Adding Jobs In Norman
Norman, OK -- January 12, 2010 -- Hitachi Computer Products America Inc. will expand its Norman facility with the construction of a new distribution center while adding 75 new jobs.
Work on the more than 200,000-square-foot building has started, and is expected to be complete by Oct. 1. The distribution center is being built on the north side of Hitachi’s 162,000-square-foot-plant.
Mike Bunney Named Tulsa’s Economic Development Director

BOK Center Continues to Rank High in Ticket Sales
Tulsa, OK -- November 10, 2009 -- Recent ticket sales numbers from Pollstar Pro rank the BOK Center No. 5 nationwide and No. 14 worldwide in arena ticket sales.
The venue has sold over 328,000 tickets this year.
In 2009, the BOK Center has hosted such as performers as Paul McCartney, Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, and Creed.
Tulsa Index of Area Firms Outpaces National Gauges
Tulsa, OK -- October 12, 2009 -- The Tulsa World reports the rally in the U.S. stock market that started in March is boosting a Tulsa Index of stocks.
The Tulsa Index surged 23.5% in the July-to-September period while the Standard & Poor's 500 rose 15.6% and the Russell 2000 rose 19.3%, according to the World. The Tulsa Index includes companies that have headquarters or other significant operations in the Tulsa World's readership area.
Of the 65 companies included in the local index, 62 saw their share price rise during the quarter. Brunswick Corp. was the local index's top gainer during the third quarter — its stock price rose 177.3%.
Tulsa’s BOK Center to Host First and Second Round of 2011 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament
