Commerce-Managed Funding Opportunities
Consolidated Plan for the State of Oklahoma
Each year, Congress appropriates funding for several programs for housing, homelessness, and non-housing community development. These funds go to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) before being allocated to the states. Each state must apply annually for their share of the funds. This is done through the State Consolidated Plan (ConPlan), which incorporates into a single document the planning and application aspects of the following programs:
- Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
- Home Investment Partnerships (HOME)
- Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG)
- Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA)
The ConPlan has a five-year strategic plan for addressing housing, homelessness, and non-housing community development and is updated annually with input from the public. The State's Citizen Participation plan includes a series of public meetings held throughout the state, as well as a written comment period.
2009 State Consolidated Plan This is the 2009 Consolidated Plan for the State of Oklahoma. It has been submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for approval.
