Natalie Shirley is the Secretary of Commerce & Tourism and Executive Director for the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. She is responsible for each agency's strategic direction and efforts.

Serving as President and CEO of ICI Mutual Insurance Group in Washington, D.C. for the past five years, Shirley has proved her ability to establish a business/enterprise direction, focus, and plan. Under her leadership, ICI became the recognized leader in the investment company insurance marketplace, providing insurance to more than 75 percent of the industry's assets.

Before taking the helm, Shirley served ICI in a variety of positions over a 16-year period, including Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and General Counsel.

Shirley has also served as an associate with a private law firm in Oklahoma City and as Deputy General Counsel with the Oklahoma Department of Securities.

She has a law degree from the University of Oklahoma, a bachelor's degree in psychology and a bachelor's degree in political science from Oklahoma State University.

Shirley is also a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association.
