Economic Development Infrastructure Financing
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) federal program administered by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce encompasses several categories of available funds and uses of publicly owned and maintained infrastructure. EDIF Details

Eligible projects to be financed by this program are publicly owned and maintained improvements that will provide basic infrastructure services to a new or expanding business. At least 51% of the new jobs must be made available to low and moderate income individuals.

Such improvements may include, but are not limited to, water, wastewater, transportation improvements, and rehabilitation and new construction of publicly owned industrial buildings.

Projects may be funded up to a maximum of $500,000. The first $100,000 may be in the form of a grant and the remaining up to $400,000 will be a loan.

Eligibility
The applicant must be a local unit of government (incorporated town or city) that is not a participant in the CDBG entitlement program. Oklahoma's entitlement cities are Broken Arrow, Edmond, Enid, Lawton, Midwest City, Norman, Oklahoma City, Shawnee and Tulsa.

Application Process
Applications may be made to the Oklahoma Department of Commerce Community Infrastructure Division and are funded on a first-come, first-complete basis until funds are no longer available.
