The Oklahoma Aeronautic Commission (OAC) promotes aviation, ensuring the needs of commerce and communities statewide are met by the 108 public airports that comprise the Oklahoma Airport System, thus ensuring the viability of the state’s aerospace industry. OAC is empowered and directed to encourage, foster, and assist in the development of aviation and aerospace in Oklahoma and to encourage the establishment of airports and air navigation facilities. Since FY 2001, the Commission has invested $274M in federal funds and $76.5M of the $94.5M it has received in state funds into airport infrastructure.
