The State of Bioscience

More than 500 bioscience-related businesses are finding success operating in Oklahoma. The state’s bioscience community encompasses a wide range of research and business concerns. Research and business activities in this industry exceed $6.7 billion and is primarily focused on:

  • Research, testing and medical laboratories
  • Medical devices and equipment
  • Drugs and pharmaceuticals
  • Agriculture feed stock and chemicals

“We are well positioned to leverage our assets in terms of attracting businesses to Oklahoma, where we can offer our research infrastructure to incubating companies or fledgling companies that want to get started in the agricultural segment,” said Bill Buckner, President & CEO, Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation.

Located in Ardmore, Okla., the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation is just one of many organizations on the leading edges of technology and science. The Noble Foundation is the largest private foundation in Oklahoma in the top 50 in the U.S. The organization provides assistance to farmers and ranchers as well as conducting plant science research and agricultural programs.
