Central Tech has certified a new small business incubator/accelerator in Cushing, expanding support for startups, small businesses, and entrepreneurs across the region. This program strengthens Central Tech’s commitment to helping businesses start strong, grow, and succeed in today’s economy.
“This is an exciting new opportunity for Central Tech and the people we serve,” said Kent Burris, Superintendent of Central Tech. “Starting a business takes more than a great idea; it takes support, guidance and the right environment to grow. While entrepreneurs know their product or service, they don’t always have access to the tools and resources needed to move forward. That’s where an incubator can make a real difference. It’s about helping people take the next step, building confidence, creating opportunity and strengthening the communities we serve.”
The new facility offers 15,400 square feet of leasable space on approximately four acres, with room for expansion, outdoor storage, and operations. Amenities included ample parking, flexible office space, a large conference room, a training and event meeting room, and a workspace bay with two overhead doors and a loading dock. The adaptable layout allows businesses to customize space for offices, cubicles, or open work environments.

“We know it takes more than an initial business plan and an office space to keep an organization running smoothly,” said Mark Cotner, Assistant Superintendent. “Through one-on-one consulting, we can help you overcome your business challenges and form a plan of action to get you where you want to go.”
The incubator program provides hands-on support to help businesses take the next step, including:
- No-cost business consulting
- Workshops and classes for small businesses
- Education, training, and mentorship
- Graduated rental rates
- Potential exemption from state tax liability for up to 10 years on income earned through program participation
Through partnerships with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, local chambers, economic development organizations, and other community partners, Central Tech is creating a hub for entrepreneurship, innovation, and job creation in the area. The incubator provides a place for businesses to start strong, grow, and create jobs, which strengthen the local economy and support long-term community success.
