OSUIT’s online IT program ranked No. 1 in the nation

OSUIT’s Online Associate of Science in Information Technologies is the best such online program in the nation, according to TechGuide.

TechGuide, a technology news and reviews website, ranked OSUIT’s Online Associate of Science in Information Technologies No. 1 in its 2026 Best Online Associate in I.T. Programs ranking.

“This reflects your program’s excellence and impact in preparing students for success in IT careers,” TechGuide’s Marianne Dela Cruz said in her congratulatory message to OSUIT.

TechGuide also ranked the on-campus side of OSUIT’s Associate of Science in Information Technologies No. 4 in its Best Campus IT Associate’s Degree Programs for 2026 ranking.

The website bases its rankings on official Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) data that U.S. colleges and universities report to the Department of Education each year. TechGuide writers use the data to evaluate the following important student metrics:

  • Admissions selectivity
  • Class size and faculty support
  • Financial aid availability
  • Graduation outcomes
  • Total enrollment

TechGuide seeks to help students, educators and institutions make smarter decisions in Analytics and Computer Science by publishing data-supported rankings, expert faculty insights and curated learning resources. It also hosts podcast conversations featuring educators and tech professionals from across the nation.

IT professionals connect people, systems and data in a wide range of industries, including health care and cybersecurity.

OSUIT’s industry-focused IT program prepares students for a high-demand, high-tech career.

Oklahoma Department of Commerce officials project a 15% growth for tech jobs in Oklahoma by 2030. Those officials say technology is one of eight industries that economic development specialists are targeting, according to Oklahoma Magazine.
