On Thursday, July 9, 2020, the Oklahoma Department of Commerce (Commerce) released the first payments to the authorized financial institutions for distribution to companies awarded grant funds through the Oklahoma Business Relief Program (OBRP).
8,661 businesses received OBRP awards with 25% of awards going to minority-owned businesses.
The OBRP fund awarded approximately $143.126 million in funding to local Oklahoma businesses. Minority-owned businesses accounted for approximately 24% of the total funds awarded.
