Economic developers from across Oklahoma convened this week for Economic Development Day at the Capitol. The annual event was held virtually this year and included various speakers: Speaker of the House Charles McCall; President Pro-temp of the Senate Greg Treat; Representative Kevin Wallace; House Floor Leader Representative Jon Echols; and Senator Adam Pugh.
During the event, Advocate of the Year awards were presented to:
· Rep. Jon Echols (Oklahoma City)
· Sen. Adam Pugh (Edmond)
This award is given to legislators who are strong advocates for the future of economic development in Oklahoma, advocating for initiatives that encourage investment and result in economic prosperity in the state.
“It is an honor to work with elected officials who are looking out for the betterment of the state and growth of economic development in Oklahoma,” said Lyle Roggow, President/CEO of the Duncan Area Economic Development Foundation. “I commend both Rep. Echols and Sen. Pugh for their dedication to improving our state through the support of economic development efforts.”
