Interested in becoming an Oklahoma Main Street Program?
The Oklahoma Main Street Center will host its annual Application Workshop at the Oklahoma Municipal League Annual Conference, Thursday, September 9, 2021. Attendees will learn about the application and selection process for the Oklahoma Main Street Program as well as the Main Street Approach to economic revitalization. The Oklahoma Main Street Center will also be announcing a new application level.
To be eligible to apply for 2022 Oklahoma Main Street Program designation, communities and/or historic commercial districts must have two representatives attend the workshop. If you are coming to this workshop and are not planning to attend the rest of the OML conference, please call the Oklahoma Main Street Center at 405-815-6552 by Friday, September 3, 2021 to register.
If you are already registered and attending the OML conference, there is no need to register with Main Street. In addition, application information is available online at Main Street Program Application.

About Oklahoma Main Street
Don’t miss your chance to learn more about this successful economic development program. The Main Street Approach is an economic development strategy developed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation in 1980. It incorporates a Four Point Approach to economic revitalization consisting of organization, promotion, design and economic vitality. Training and technical assistance in Oklahoma is coordinated by the Oklahoma Main Street Center at the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.
