Muskogee Communications Investing $1 Million, Expanding Footprint in Muskogee

The Muskogee City-County Port Authority in partnership with the City of Muskogee announced the major expansion of Muskogee Communications, a Gold Level partner with Motorola since the early 1970s. 

Muskogee Communications vice president Scott Wilson said, after nearly 50 years and three additions to its existing offices the company is ready to break ground on a new facility. The company plans to break ground on a new 12,000-square-foot building with an investment of close to $1 million. 

“We have a need for more office and warehouse space and employees. With the help of the Muskogee City-County Port Authority, we have located a suitable piece of property to fulfill these needs,” Wilson said. “We will be buying 10.25 acres from the City of Muskogee in the Southside Industrial Park.” 

Leon Davis, economic development director for City of Muskogee, said Muskogee Communications is a vital contributor for the well-being of the city. 

“Our nation is at a crucial stage of evolution, spear-headed by advancements in smart technologies and cutting-edge communications platforms; such technologies are what allows our economy to continue to function during this challenge pandemic riddled era of our history,” Davis said. “I would like to commend Scott Wilson on his commitment to keeping his striving business in Muskogee and his willingness to contribute to the technological evolution of Muskogee.” 

Muskogee Mayor Marlon Coleman said this expansion is another great example of the city’s commitment to expanding and recruiting technology-based jobs. 

“I was pleased to have the opportunity to help facilitate this project with our partners at the Muskogee City-County Port Authority. The citizens of Muskogee are the beneficiaries,” Coleman said. “Muskogee Communications is a leader in their field and their investment says to us and others watching that Muskogee is on the path to being great.” 

Muskogee Communications employs a team of experienced and knowledgeable engineers and technicians who provide advanced services that ensure their customers’ communications equipment is streamlined for their businesses. Their services include system project management, including working closely with customers throughout the planning, installation, and testing of their Motorola equipment, maintenance of equipment, updating services, and even assisting in the renewal of FCC licenses. The president for Muskogee Communications is Carl Wilson. 

The Muskogee City-County Port Authority and City of Muskogee work with partners to initiate and enhance economic development in the local community. Port Director Kimbra Scott said Muskogee Communications’ is a well-respected company and their plans are a great accomplishment.
