Army Future Command representatives will be in Lawton – Fort Sill

Date: Wednesday, November 20, 2019
Time: 2:30 – 4:00 pm
Location: Great Plains Technology Center at the Worley Center (Bldg 300)
4500 SW Lee Blvd.
Lawton, Okla.

Fort Sill, Oklahoma is home to two of the U.S. Army’s top eight priorities – (#1) Long Range Precision Fires (Artillery) and (#5) Integrated Air & Missile Defense. Both are part the U.S. Army Futures Command (AFC) based in Austin, TX. AFC is looking to Lawton and across Oklahoma for small and medium businesses that they can partner with for innovation. They need companies with niche capabilities in a myriad of areas – Electronic Warfare, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Metallurgy, Energetics, Missiles, Space, Unmanned Aerial Systems, Positioning-Navigation-Targeting (PNT), Ground Vehicles, Aircraft Design and much, much more. They need companies that can take an idea to a functioning prototype in real time.

AFC wants companies that want to collaborate with them and with other companies. They want partners who are creative, nimble and responsive. They are seeking opportunities to do business with small to mid-size companies because they are more apt to have these qualities. AFC has the ability help get funding for innovation and prototyping.

Additionally, AFC wants this type of relationship with academia. They want new entrepreneurial ideas and innovative young people who are excited about creating the future.
