Oklahoma has numerous high-quality, shovel-ready industrial parks, but one in southern Oklahoma offers some impressive logistical options for getting products out and supplies in. Located north of Ardmore, Okla. and just seven miles east of I-35, Ameripointe Logistics Park and the surrounding Ardmore Industrial Airpark boast 1,350 acres and a two-mile rail loop. The rail loop includes 6.4 miles of track with the capacity to receive trains more than 150 fully loaded cars. Ameripointe Logistics Park is just one of 16 locations in the U.S. to be designated as a BNSF Railway “Certified Site.”
“Oklahoma’s central location and close proximity to the growing Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex make it a prime location for companies. From the Ardmore Industrial Airpark and Ameripointe, you can reach 85% of the U.S. in just two truck days. When you consider that the park is approximately 100 miles north of Dallas-Ft. Worth and less than 100 miles south of Oklahoma City, it’s easy to see why it provides impressive location and logistical options for companies,” said Christie Myers, Director of National Recruitment, Oklahoma Department of Commerce.
The Ardmore Industrial Airpark is home to the largest Dollar General Distribution Center in the network, EJ Foundry and King Aerospace Commercial Corporation.
Being located within the Ardmore Industrial Airpark, allows businesses operating in the park to have access to a 9,000-foot runway. The Airpark has a FAA Federal Contract Tower open seven days a week.
“When taking into account the unique accessibility, favorable local demographics and massive size of the land available at Ameripointe, this site presents almost limitless industrial development potential,” said Steve Pastor, vice president, global supply chain and ports and rail practice at NAI James E. Hanson and NAI Global chairperson for the Americas.
The site is in a Foreign Trade Zone and Enterprise Zone. The site includes 527 acres of land for sale, 804 acres available for lease, and 19 acres that can be used for buffer or parking.
The Oklahoma Department of Commerce utilizes LocateOK.com, an online map and data tool, to promote Oklahoma’s available buildings and sites to businesses looking for expansion locations. The site provides demographic and infrastructure data along with available buildings and sites.
