In September, Commerce welcomed State Certified Incubators from across the state to the first-ever Oklahoma State Certified Incubator Celebration. Small businesses are the backbone of Oklahoma’s economy, and their success is crucial to the success of our communities. The event included representatives from 19 of the state’s 26 certified incubators.
“A business incubator’s core mission is to nurture entrepreneurial companies, ensuring they have the resources to survive the critical startup years and achieve sustained growth,” said Heather Turner, Executive Director of CORE and Commerce deputy CEO. “ Oklahoma boasts a thriving incubator network, and this event allowed us to celebrate the commitment and entrepreneurial spirit of our incubators and the innovative businesses they host”.
